Myrtle Beach Restaurant Reviews - What Locals Say About The Marker The Marker Deck: Because it's a favorite spot, about the only time you'll ever see unoccupied tables on the deck of the Marker Restaurant is in the colder off-season months when there's very few people wanting to dine outdoors in chilly weather.
In the mild and warmer months of the year, the deck gets our "favorite place to be seated in the Marker" award for the gentle breeze off the water, the view of the boats traversing the Intracoastal Waterway and the yachts docked at Harbourgate Marina, and for the overall relaxing atmosphere.
Most nights of the week, and defintely on weekend nights, the deck is usually filled to capacity. We suggest you arrive fairly early for dinner so you'll be more likely to have a shot at being seated on the deck.
Even if you don't like early-bird dining, not to worry. There's no such thing as a "bad place to sit" in the Marker. Both the upstairs and downstairs interiors have highly polished wood and tasteful gold accents, and all tables have breath-taking views of the waterway.
If you're not already eager to make the Marker a required experience on your next trip to Myrtle Beach, read the reviews by locals below, and we're sure we'll be seeing you there soon.
Marker Restaurant Reviews
We had our wedding reception at The Marker. As a matter of fact, we were the first couple to have a wedding reception there. I must say, it was absolutely perfect. They took care of every detail, and they handled everything perfectly! The food could not have been better anywhere in the world, the service was impeccable. The staff was friendly and courteous. We will always recommend The Marker for wedding receptions - there is no better group of people on this beach than the owners and staff at The Marker ..MLW, North Myrtle Beach Monday, November 01 2004 |
The Marker Restaurant is my very favorite place to dine. Fantastic food, great view, wonderful service. Very convenient location with plenty of parking. Best Caesar salad I've ever had in my life. And the blackened seafood is absolutely delicious!! It is by far the best place for fine dining on the Grand Strand ..PP, North Myrtle Beach Saturday, November 06 2004 |

The Marker Restaurant is an appealing restaurant to me because of the great food and scenic atmosphere. I especially enjoy the Marker Restaurant in Spring when you can sit outside on the deck. The shrimp are very good and have lots of flavor. Not only does The Marker Restaurant have seafood and meat dishes they have salads , which I like for the vegetarians ..KML, Little River Sunday, November 14 2004 |
Every once in a while you walk into a place and can feel its warmth and you just know it's the right place. The Marker Restaurant is most definitely on the top of the "choice" list in the Myrtle Beach area. The food and service are outstanding. Whether you order the famous BLT salad, one of the many perfectly prepared dinners, or any of the exquisite desserts, the experience will forever be etched in your memory. The Marker Staff is dedicated to attention and quality. The menu includes fresh seafood, steaks, chicken and the best pork chops around. Hailing from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, the owner brings a fresh approach and five-star customer service to this area ..WMW, North Myrtle Beach Monday, November 15 2004 |
The Marker Restaurant has great food with great atmosphere. You can have a romantic dinner overlooking the waterway in the evening or have a warm sunny lunch on the deck overlooking the marina. ..TM, Little River Tuesday, November 16 2004 |
